This made Nuka dislike Kovu and want to get Zira’s attention all the time. Simba, the nephew of Scar, banished Nuka and his family from the Pride Lands when Scar passed away because of their fidelity to Scar.

The Lion Guard Characters Kovu

Kovu is an adult male Lion who serves as the leader of the Lion Guard. He is a confident and charismatic leader who always speaks his mind. He is a fierce and relentless defender of the Pride and will stop at nothing to protect his family and friends.

While he is usually wise and levelheaded, Kovu can be hot-headed and impulsive when he’s pushed too far. He is very protective of his family and will do anything to protect them. Kovu is also very loyal and supportive of his friends and family.

The deuteragonist of The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride, a 1998 Disney direct-to-video sequel to The Lion King from 1994, is Kovu. He is Kiara’s partner and the younger brother of Nuka and Vitani. He is Zira’s son.
